TESAR Learning Environment

The TESAR Learning Course is a free, EU-funded, part-time hybrid training programme designed for early-stage researchers who want their research to make a real difference in society. Starting in September 2026, the course will help early-stage researchers from all disciplines transform evidence into clear, actionable, and impactful policy recommendations.

Through 5 online modules, an in-person session, simulation activities, teamwork, and AI-supported policy communication tools, participants will develop the skills needed to bridge the gap between research and decision-making.  

Participants will:  

• Learn how to translate research findings into evidence-informed policies.  

• Strengthen key Science for Policy competences, including policy advice, innovation, evidence use, future literacy, stakeholder engagement, communication, and collaboration.  

• Take part in practical simulations, role-playing exercises, and teamwork sessions.  

• Use AI-driven tools to make research clearer, more concise, and more relevant for policymakers.  

• Develop an Action Policy Brief as a final team project.  

• Join an international learning community of researchers, trainers, experts, and policymakers.  

• Earn a micro-credential certificate upon completion.  

• Participate free of charge, with the training fee covered by the European Union. 

Applications are open worldwide to motivated researchers affiliated with a university, company, research centre, or other institution. The programme starts on 9 September 2026, with applications open until 31 July 2026.
